Branding & Logo Design
Keggs the Turtle was an original character I created for Pleasure Island Brewing. He features a palm tree on his chest to maintain brand continuity, tying back to the brewery’s core illustration mark - a pint glass with a palm tree inside.
This is Pleasure Island Brewing’s illustration mark, a palm tree nestled inside a pint glass. It’s a visual nod to the feeling their beer evokes: like being transported to a tropical escape with every sip. A drink that doesn’t just refresh, but invites you to unwind, wander, and stay awhile.
One intentional design element I incorporated for Pleasure Island Brewing was weaving in subtle nods to Pittsburgh, the brewers' hometown. This particular detail pays homage to a renowned artist from the city, adding a layer of personal history and creative influence to the brand.
Developed a dynamic color palette that intentionally captures the brand’s essence: fun, vibrant, and visually engaging. Designed to reflect its playful spirit and stand out across all touchpoints.
These fonts were thoughtfully selected in collaboration with Pleasure Island Brewing’s founders during a Zoom meeting. I presented a curated set of typefaces that aligned with their desired aesthetic, and together we chose the options that best captured the brand’s personality and visual direction.
